What we run for...

The first annual EDUC8-K is hopefully the first of many years of races geared to financially support education being made available to children in need. This year we are pleased to help Samaritan's Purse which distributes one of the highest amount of charitable contributions to those in need and is already hard at work providing international relief in over 100 countries. We hope to positively influence the world around us, the community in which we live and the individuals participating in the EDUC8-K. Our hopes on a global scale are to provide education to those in need by raising the $25,000 to build a simple two room school building and equip teachers and children with their much needed educational supplies. Our local goals are to bring a community together in an event to raise global awareness and to share the common goal to make a difference, for good, in the world outside our city. Lastly, our goal for the individual is to motivate each participant to get active and improve their health through exercise and training for this race.
